- Vulpix can be seen as a parallel to Growlithe. Both are Generation I Pokémon that evolve once via a Fire Stone. Vulpix is exclusive to Pokémon Green, Blue, Silver, LeafGreen, and SoulSilver while Growlithe is to Red, Blue (Japan), Gold, FireRed, and HeartGold.
